Sinna’s always been about her business, but when a tall, handsome idol sets his sights on you, well. Let’s just say, like our heroine, you might find it a bit difficult to resist. In this unedited snippet, which picks up where last week’s left off, Tan continues his sweet, irresistible foray into our boss lady’s heart. Let me know what you think!
XOXO,
SS
She raised a brow, but she nodded and accepted a few more bites of various dishes.
“No more,” she laughed, when he offered the ramen again. “I want cheesecake!”
“Never stand in the way of Sinna and sugar,” Saint laughed.
“Noted,” said Tan, handing her a slice of cheesecake and a fork.
She took it and narrowed her eyes at her grinning cousin before she forked up a large bite.
The rest of the party kept eating.
How do they stay so thin? She wondered. Must be all that dancing. She’d heard idols had to deal with very strict diets. Maybe tonight was a night off, and most of what they’d eaten was soup based and seemed fresh.
Still. “Don’t get fat,” she warned. “Or my costume strategy will be dead in the water.”
In a babble of Korean and English, five handsome heads nodded forcefully and assured her that they would continue to work out hard.
“We don’t want to make your work tougher, Sinna-ssi,” Bik grinned.
She blinked at the add on to her name and made a mental note to look up its meaning. “Thank you. I appreciate that.”
Chapter
Sinna was no calorie counter by any means, but there was no denying that her work was a lot easier because the members were all thin. Not only did it make alterations simpler, designers were more likely to dress them if they knew their creations would hang well on tall, slender bodies.
She’d already prepped each member that she would be taking lots of photos for social media. They were used to it and assured her it was no problem. They also agreed to comment occasionally with positive feedback on the clothes and to film in specific outfits for V-Live and other meetings and appearances.
She deliberately had Cressida gather everyone’s Instagram handle during that first meeting with Mr. Big Wig. That way he couldn’t claim he hadn’t known her plans and cause problems after the fact. Idols social media activity was surprisingly restricted. Actually, most things about idols were restricted. Though as an older, more established group, 501K had more freedom. Still, some of the things she found out about the industry…well. That was too big for her to take on.
Things were going well. Sinna had Tommy drop a few bugs to let the right ears know she’d taken over as the 501K stylist, and she’d had several promising leads materialize from that effort. Plus, thanks to some hilarious stills of shocked, pretty idols in their homes, her YouTube video on “the purge” had already gotten more than a million views in just a few days. Based on the new queries she’d gotten from brands, they were off to a roaring start. Now she just had to keep the fire hot, and curate like her life depended on it.
The Korean seamstresses were hard at work on some of her original designs, which they seemed to like, not that she gave a shit. But as Saint liked to say, it was better to have happy workers than evil bitches with attitudinal sized chips on their shoulders.
She smirked. Her cousin always could turn a phrase.
