I’m a super practical person. Which would seem to be at odds with my love for romantic things, but for me, intermingling the two makes perfect sense. If a man really wants to build a great relationship with you, he should think of the practical. After all, getting those necessary things out of the way leaves the field clear for all the loving and other non essential essentials, if you know what I mean.
In this unedited snippet, where last week’s leaves off, Tan shares what he likes in a woman, and Sinna finds his straight forward approach is very much to her taste. I left you dangling in this one – don’t be mad. I couldn’t resist. It was the perfect spot to leave you wanting more. LOL Let me know what you think!
The picture is of South Korean actor/idol Rowoon. I’m trying to watch him in Extraordinary You, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to make it. LOL
XOXO,
SS
“Like what?”
“Well, I don’t like showy girls, which makes women in my industry difficult. Fans are also not good. They’re lovely – most of them – but I want someone to look at me, not Tan the idol. Plus, I have always preferred older women. They are more mature, less silly.
“Too many females are sweet and prim in public and whining brats in private. And some of these female idols are –” he shook his head. “I certainly don’t mind a woman taking care with her appearance, but I want her to have substance, and I don’t want to feel like she’s more interested in who is taking our picture than being with me.
“Many suffer greatly because of the idol system, the plastic surgeries and the years struggling and scraping to make it take a toll. I’ve seen it in the men too. They lose that core confidence. I’ve struggled with it too. Because I’m so tall and big, I’m often asked to lose weight.”
“That’s why you work out so diligently?”
He nodded.
Sinna tilted her head and smirked. “You’re beautiful, rich, incredibly talented and famous, honey. You could go anywhere in the world and be a hit. I could introduce you to some people who would be glad to make it happen. If I was you, I’d tell them to kiss my ass.”
He burst out laughing.
“Real talk, though. You shouldn’t lose another pound,” she insisted. “If anything you could stand to gain a few. Someone with your frame shouldn’t be too skinny.”
“It’s too bad I wasn’t born in America where they like bigger men,” he teased, but she nodded. It was true after all.
“Anyway, I am grateful for my connections and my easy start. I was spared a lot. I still work with the man who scouted me for my first movie. But when it comes to a love partner,” he shook his head. “I don’t like to feel like I’m being made use of.”
A love partner. Why did that sound so quaint and cute? “How so?”
“For fame, money, for sex.”
Her brows did their best to join her hairline.
“I want a woman touching me to actually like me, to hopefully love me. Otherwise, it’s a turn down.”
“A turn off.”
“Yes. Are you disturbed by this?”
“No. It makes perfect sense to me.”
“Is it a turn off?”
“No,” she said. “I can’t say I’ve had to deal with the same things exactly, but I definitely understand where you’re coming from.”
“Have you been with many men?”
“No.” Three, but it was none of his business. Sinna was easily turned off as well. For Tan it was insincere fame seekers. For her it was bums who want an easy ride.
The waitress came to clear the table, and when she was gone he asked, “Would you like to sleep with me?”
