It’s that time of year again, kids. Time to think up a few rules to make or to break about how you want the next year of your life to go.
I’ve already made 12 goals for 2012. I actually did it like a month ago and have done a damn good job of getting a jump start on my version of positive discipline in the interest of lifechanging behavior, blah blah blah. Many of those goals involve my writing.
I’m feeling so optimistic going into the new year. It’s crazy. I don’t know if it’s because my vampwitch tale is going so well – the tension is rising, the plot is thickening, there have been some fabulous displays of emotion charged magic and even a bit of a twist as our hero Bastien finds himself in danger – or because I just powered through several thousand words in like an hour. But I want to wish everyone a safe and happy new year.
May you get drunk – if you are of age, of course – but not too drunk, have so much fun you laugh until your belly aches, and ring in this next 12 months of life with a smile, surrounded by loving family and friends.
I love stories like that.
