This woman was a legend. Her words will live forever, touching and grabbing your heart and soul with verbal images as strong as a fist to the face.
Listening to her recite Still I Rise brought tears to my eyes. It made feel hopeful, proud, and full of longing to share and inspire someone with words I’ve created. I only pray I have the strength to do what Maya Angelou has done for me – and so many others – for someone else one day.
